Summer Smoothies

We have always been a fan/supporter of Deliciously Ella and she has been a supporter of Hey Jo since the start. We love her inclusiveness to healthy eating and her recipes have always been a fail-safe, especially her smoothies. This is one of our favourite summer drink, sweet, creamy and quick to make. Enjoy!




Deliciously Ella’s Perfect Peach Smoothie 

Serves 2

– 2 frozen ripe bananas

– 2 peaches

– a dozen strawberries

– 1 cup of almond milk

– a few ice cubes (optional)

Simply peel the bananas and cut them into slices, place the slices into the freezer for at least two hours (best to freeze overnight.) Once you’re ready to make your smoothie cut the tops of the strawberries (these can be frozen too for an hour or so before making too), cut the peach to remove the stone – you can keep the skin on though. Place all the fruit in a blender with the almond milk and ice and blend until smooth.
